Zombie in Corfu is the latest book gem I have discovered, with probably my favorite title and cover of the year. It is the 1st installment in the Violet Cross Magical Mysteries by Sophie Victor, which is cozy comedic fantasy that includes different mysteries in each book.

Synopsis: A down-and-out ex-spy, a magical Mediterranean village, and a zombie on the loose...
When the town volunteers reluctant ex-agent Violet Cross to hunt the zombie, distractingly beautiful werewolf Maggie offers to help. Violet must resist temptation as she interrogates the townsfolk in a race to find the zombie’s maker before her old agency arrives, ready to expose the secret of why she was fired and destroy the only place she's ever called home.
A cosy, slightly chaotic, paranormal mystery filled with humour, flirting, and the existential, inescapable dread of maybe having to see ex-colleagues…

About the Author
I am Sophie Victoria Manley writing under the pen name Sophie Victor. I write fantasy and paranormal fiction – the real world is too sad, too mundane, too predictable, and too limited by the boundaries of physics – with themes of mystery (got to have something to work those little grey cells), and romance (because, honestly, what is life without love?).
My books are beautifully queer, because I am, but don’t worry, there is some straight representation. And they’re ND-coded: dry observational wit and delicious tangents, social-awkwardness and the insatiable search for dopamine…
I live in the UK with my girlfriend, Louise, and young cavapoo Max, and when I'm not writing or working the day job, I'm going to zumba, author events, or the beach.
